The More I Seek You

“Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know” Jeremiah 33:3 (Known as God’s Phone Number)

“The More I Seek You”

The more I seek you
The more I find you
The more I find you
The more I love you

I want to sit at your feet
Drink from the cup in your hand
Lay back against you and breathe, feel your heart beat
This love is so deep, its more than I can stand
I melt in your peace, its overwhelming

I found this song while bee-bopping through YouTube, and it was on a playlist entitled, “Christian Songs for Anxiety“.  Of course I clicked the link, because God’s been working on my fears quite a bit this year.

If you’re a new reader to the blog, today is Music Monday.  Every Monday I take a moment to blog on a worship song to get us in the right mindset for the week.  If you have any worship songs that you love, please share!  I may just feature a song you recommend here on Music Monday!

This world is a scary place.  We have so many things coming at us day to day, moment to moment.  So many distractions that are telling us that we are not good enough, that we are not liked, not wanted.  Turn on the TV news and you will hear of all the scary things that happened through the night.  Get on Social Media and you’ll see why one political party is being ridiculous (which one depends on your previous likes, not necessarily how ridiculous they actually are)  What am I pouring into my mind?  What am I basing my thoughts on?

The more I seek you
The more I find you
The more I find you
The more I love you

We are called to let the Holy Spirit pour into us so much that we are filled to overwhelming.  What we allow into our mind is what will pour out.  I want to pour out God’s Love more than anything else.  I want to FEEL God’s love more than anything else….

We love because he first loved us.- 1 John 4:19

I don’t want to listen to the voices of the world that tell me I’m not good enough.  I don’t want to be one of those voices either.  This month we’re talking about Love here at Nailing Jello.  Last week we talked about how Love is Commitment.  We talked about how we love God and I think how we receive His love is also important.  Do we take time to seek him and focus on what He has to say, or are we letting the busyness of this world, the distractions of this world become our focus?

How does God love me?  Does He hold on to my past mistakes and remind me of them?  How am I loving those around me if I am continually reminding them of their past mistakes?

I need to remember that past hurts don’t define this moment in time.

I want to sit at your feet
Drink from the cup in your hand
Lay back against you and breathe, feel your heart beat
This love is so deep, its more than I can stand
I melt in your peace, its overwhelming

I’m seeking your peace, Lord.  I want to reflect your love.  A love that is so deep, it’s more than I can stand.  Overwhelm me with your peace.

Love, Semalee

I listen to my gospel station more often during difficult times. Music is just has a way of soothing, but I know that God is speaking to me through it.

I love this. It is so important to reflect on your anxiety and what it may teach you as well as how working thru it can teach you something too. Everything is meant to teach us something.

Music can heal away almost everything. It’s so important to reflect back and learn from the past
